Modernising Justice Through Technology, Innovation and Efficiency 2017
Technology has become integral to the way justice is delivered across the United Kingdom. Equipping police officers with mobile tablets, establishing court hearings via videolink for those most vulnerable, digital forensics, biometrics, in-cell technology, and entering criminal pleas online are together disrupting traditional ways of working. In addition, data across the justice sector is becoming more intelligent and accessible through big data analytics and the cloud as we continue moving towards a joined-up justice system through shared data principles.
The Modernising Justice 2017 conference brings together over 350 technology experts from across central government, courts, prisons and probation services, to set out the next steps in delivering digital transformation in the criminal justice system, for employees and users alike.
Our Acting CEO Robert Leach presented in the morning on “Delivering Efficiency Savings across Police Force Boundaries through Collaboration in IT Transformation” and participated in a panel discussion about “Sharing Data Effectively To Improve Outcomes Across The Criminal Justice Cycle”.
